Over fifteen years experience working on IT, where I have developed special skills on business analysis, requirements gathering, process modeling, project management, software quality assurance and testing.
During my first years of experience I devoted my efforts to quality assurance and software testing. While testing applications I executed manual and automated test, created and maintained test cases, test scripts, test matrices, test plans, work plans and traceability matrices; as Test Lead I was responsible of assigning and reviewing artifacts, deliverable from my team as well as reporting the status through significant metrics. As quality assurance lead I was responsible of managing and reviewing the work of other software disciplines during the entire development life cycle in order to identify opportunity areas and suggest solutions for improvement.
In the past few years I have worked in many different roles. As a Business Analyst gathering requirements, developing wireframes, technical documentations and helping engaging different teams in order to achieve our goals. As Tester managing teams from many locations like India, China, Argentina, Lebanon and Vietnam, implementing disciplines from the ground up and helping improve existent ones by developing ad-hoc processes, procedures, policies and artifacts; Architect QA environments for the specific business needs, develop manual test cases and automates ones using Selenium (Java) and Jmeter and finally as DevOps helping maintain the QA and production infrastructure (deployments and general server maintenance), automate deployments with Jenkins/SVN/GitHub and implement continues testing with Jmeter and Selenium.
I really like to get involved in the product under testing in all its aspects like requirements, UI, DBs, backend, infrastructure, user experience, etc. and complement it with a robust set of test artifacts such as Test Plan, Test Strategy and Test Cases.
I am a process oriented person, QA needs to be always strong and stable, I always try to triage defects as much as possible keep track of them and have a schedule for testing and deployments that keeps control on what, how and where tests are being performed. Firm believer of Automation, as it is a key part of testing and I am believer of continues testing and automating as much as possible, but always at the right time and in the right way to minimize maintenance and rework.Ok, I realize I am a bad seller and I give away my work at my own company, so I decided to join Wearsafe Labs, a startup in Hartford where I do testing (manual and automated), testing web apps, iOS apps, Android Apps, APIs, IoT, DBs, etc. Supporting as DevOps person taking care of our AWS infrastructure (IoT, Labda, EC2, Beanstalk, RDS, etc.)
